Sneakers to release this weekend From January 13th to 15th, 2016

Yesterday saw the European release of Bape’s anticipated collaboration adidas on their NMD model. We also saw Saucony collaborate with London-based retailer, Liberty, on the Grid 9000, which released in two, really clean colourways! And, to top it off, supposed leaks of a collaboration between Supreme and Nike on their Air More Uptempo surfaced. Now, let’s dive straight into the upcoming releases for the weekend!

#1 adidas NMD R1 OG Primeknit “Black/Red”

As the adidas NMD soared into popularity throughout 2016
, it wouldn’t be right to start 2017 without adidas bringing back the original colourway. The OG model is crafted with a Primeknit upper, which sits comfortably above a BOOST midsole. The monochromatic colourway is broken up by a hit of red and blue on the midsole. Arguably, this is the most sought after NMD model so be quick when trying to pick it up. This is likely a result of its clean and simple colourway, which can easily be slipped into any outfit.

As Nike’s most popular running shoe, you should already be acquainted with this model. Originally rumoured to be released back in December of 2016, the release was pushed back to Friday, January 13th. The sneaker features an all-black Flyknit upper, which is highly sought after amongst sneakerheads. Get your hands on these this Friday!

#3 Size? x adidas Gazelle GTX “Amsterdam”

This Size? exclusive model is crafted with suede from toe to heel and hits of  tan leather on the branding, inner and heel. In replace of traditional “Gazelle” detailing on the sneaker, this has been replaced by “Amsterdam” on the sidewall. You might be wondering what GTX means, it translates to Gore-Tex, which means the outer of the sneaker will be waterproof and protected from water and dirt.

#4 Jordan 6 GS “Black/Pink”

GS translates to “Grade School”, making the sneaker only available in a smaller size run for younger sneakerheads. As one of Jordan brands most notorious models, expect this to plug nostalgia into fans of retro models. The sneaker is covered from head-to-toe in black leather with hits of pink on the midsole, lace-lock and pull tab. Staying true to the original silhouette, you can expect to see an air unit towards to back of the midsole.

#5 adidas UltraBOOST 3.0 “Trace Cargo”

From adidas new version of the UltraBOOST model, the 3.0 is finally making its way onto the market. This sneaker will also have a boost midsole, as you’d expect, and a caged lacing system to lock your foot into place. Make sure you’re tooled up for this release as we expect it to be an instant sell out; don’t cop an “L”.
