Alessandro Michele elected Designer of the year at the British Fashion Awards

Alessandro Michele has been elected best fashion designer of 2015 by the British Fashion Council, which holds annually the British Fashion Awards. The Italian designer had been nominated creative director at Gucci in January this year and in only four seasons he’s been able to turn the aesthetic codes of the House upside down and to relaunch it on the market.

Alessandro Michele is a phenomenon at Gucci” said Natalie Massenet, chairman of the British Fashion Council. “His exciting, eclectic aesthetic has made an overnight impact on global fashion trends. It is not just that he has made the brand covetable and the product so desirable. He has also reinvigorated the retail experience, bringing back playfulness and magic to the flagship store. This is a man who has his customers in his heart and celebrates them”.

The official celebrations will take place on November 23rd in London, the city in which Alessandro has decided to present his next Cruise collection.
