Tommy Hilfiger to present SS27 at The Plaza Hotel in New York During New York Fashion Week, Hilfiger will unveil his take on Classic American Cool
On September 10, 2026, during New York Fashion Week, Tommy Hilfiger -PVH Group- use The Plaza Hotel as the backdrop for his Spring 2027 show. The collection will follow the Prep Made Current line, a reimagining of classic American preppy style through a contemporary lens. Hilfiger also announced that this fall, a new generation of brand ambassadors and campaign faces will make their runway debut.
The hotel, one of the city's most recognizable landmarks, is not only a touchstone for fashion and entertainment, but is also tied to the designer's personal life. Tommy Hilfiger and his wife Dee lived in a duplex penthouse within the property for over a decade.
Hilfiger himself referenced this connection, recalling how few locations can capture the spirit of American icons quite like the Plaza, a venue that has welcomed the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones over the years. The event is, in every sense, a portrait of New York seen through his eyes — a fresh expression of Classic American Cool.
This is not the first time Tommy Hilfiger has chosen an iconic New York landmark to tell his story during Fashion Week: before the Plaza, the spotlight had fallen on the Oyster Bar at Grand Central Terminal and the MV John F. Kennedy, the former Staten Island Ferry transformed into a runway. A tribute to the places and personalities that continue to define the cultural identity of New York.
