Pepa Salazar Presents "Essentials Collection" The designer unveils the collection of her most recognizable pieces during "J'adore mi amor"
Pepa Salazar has presented the "Essentials Collection," a selection of her most iconic pieces and the heart of the brand. The designer's work is already known for exploring the relationship between the body, garments, and fabrics. This collection is another way for her to express her identity through the tool she knows best: pattern making.
Working directly on mannequins, she shapes almost sculptural volumes, always attentive to how they are inhabited by the body while remaining instantly recognizable at first glance. Great care is also given to materials, with a careful selection of sustainable fibres, from wood pulp to regenerative agriculture cotton to recycled materials, for garments that can stand the test of time and place less of a burden on the planet.
The occasion to unveil it was J'Adore mi amor, a private dinner held in Paris on 26 June during Fashion Week. An intimate event for friends, creatives, and artists close to her. It was supported by Nike, whose relationship with Pepa Salazar is rooted in a long-established collaboration.
Gathered around her were fashion figures such as Loli Bahía, Rachel Marx, Alize Gamberini, and Gigi Goode; musicians Sega Bodega, Slim Soledad, and Jeune Pouce; director Gaspar Noé; creative directors Abra and Nicolas di Felice; photographers Gorka Postigo and Francesc Planes; along with stylists and creatives of the calibre of Imruh Asha, Alba Melendo, Helena Tejedor, Elena Mottola, and Pau Avia.
Her creations have already been worn by prominent figures in music and contemporary culture, from Rosalía to Kim Kardashian, from Madonna to Úrsula Corberó, and most recently Angèle for her latest single Dis-le. With the "Essentials Collection," Pepa Salazar reaffirms the bond between sensuality and experimentation, without sacrificing wearability.
