La Copenhagen Fashion Week, which ended just a few days ago, captivated many with the presence of key fashion industry figures, and its appeal was not limited to the runways. The streets of the Danish capital also drew attention, as designers, editors, and creators showcased the best looks of the season, ranging from classic Scandinavian minimalism to bold and playful statements. Keeping an eye on numerous street styles, Zalando revealed the trends for Autumn/Winter 2025. First and foremost, asymmetric shapes and architectural tailoring stood out, carving out more space in the fashion world, as already predicted by the 2025 Trend Forecast. This unusual aesthetic can be interpreted in different ways, for example, by pairing a voluminous puffer jacket from Holzweiler with black leggings and classic ankle boots, or with a Cult Gaia dress featuring sculpted shoulders. The best strategy to highlight these irregular silhouettes, according to Zalando, remains opting for a monochromatic outfit paired with simple accessories.

The standout color was mocha mousse: oversized sweaters layered over sheer skirts and patent VSP-style trench coats were seen everywhere in this sophisticated shade, chosen by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and many fashion week attendees. As for accessories, XL ‘80s-inspired earrings, a soft suede bag from Massimo Dutti, and brown boots from Marco Tozzi complete the perfect mocha mousse recipe. Its success is also confirmed by the significant increase in searches for "chocolate brown" and "mocha" on Zalando. Another key trend was furry outerwear, featuring fringes and faux fur: dramatic pieces that certainly don’t go unnoticed. Fluffy coats of various lengths were paired with total denim looks, baggy pants with crop tops, or simple dresses. Alternatively, Zalando suggests opting for crystal-embellished jeans from brands like Alice + Olivia to add more boldness to the look and its texture.

At Copenhagen Fashion Week, sportswear-inspired outfits had their moment, enhanced with a touch of glamour, as taught by Rihanna. Sports culture is increasingly influencing daily fashion: this is demonstrated by the adidas Originals jackets seen paired with dark jeans and black boots, making the overall look more elegant. This success is confirmed by the rise in searches for sportswear on Zalando, with tracksuits spotted on the streets combined with short puffer jackets and brightly colored sneakers inspired by football culture. Finally, another protagonist of the week was preppy fashion. Channeling quiet luxury and college-style elegance, attendees mixed relaxed and formal styles to create an eccentric yet sophisticated aesthetic. Tweed shackets were effortlessly paired with soft shirts and belted chinos, while the Ivy League-inspired take was demonstrated by Alana Hadid’s look featuring a varsity jacket and jumpsuit. In all its forms, one thing is certain: a perfect Modern Heritage atmosphere dominated the scene.
