Zalando and Vestiaire Collective celebrate the evolution of luxury second-hand Through a curated selection of pre-owned fashion integrated into the shopping experience

Zalando and Vestiaire Collective announce a partnership that marks a new step in the evolution of luxury second-hand in Europe: a curated and authenticated selection of pre-owned fashion directly integrated into the Zalando shopping experience. The collaboration responds to the growing demand for high-end vintage and luxury fashion: in 2025, indeed, 62% of Zalando’s pre-owned assortment was sold within the first week of its online launch, while 40% of second-hand orders also included a new-in item. A behavior that shows how new and second-hand are no longer separate paths, but part of the same shopping experience, increasingly fluid and integrated.

For the first time, Zalando customers can access an authenticated luxury second-hand selection, featuring over 50 iconic brands across ready-to-wear, footwear, bags, and accessories. Each piece is authenticated by Vestiaire Collective before publication and rechecked in case of return, ensuring a continuous quality cycle. Customers also retain a 30-day return service, in line with the Zalando experience.

We are excited to launch this authenticated luxury assortment with Vestiaire Collective as our first Pre-owned partner”, says Alice Marshall, Director Pre-owned at Zalando. “The demand for high-quality pre-owned fashion continues to grow. By adding authenticated luxury to the offer and combining it with Zalando’s unmatched convenience, we aim to encourage more customers to explore second-hand shopping”. On the Vestiaire Collective side, Thomas Hezard, Chief Product Officer, highlights the ambition of “democratizing authenticated luxury pre-owned”, making it more visible and relevant for a broader and younger audience, meeting them directly where they already shop.

The selection is now available in 14 European markets, including Italy, France, Germany, and Spain, through the Zalando Pre-owned section. In this context, the initiative further strengthens the platform’s expansion in second-hand, already extended to categories such as accessories and fashion, consolidating the role of vintage as an increasingly structural and integrated part of the Zalando offer, thanks to the contribution of Vestiaire Collective.
