The effect of the dramatic days that America is going through has also affected Supreme. As can be seen in a viral video circulated on the web in recent days, the Supreme store in SoHo was stormed around 1 a.m. last Wednesday last Wednesday by an estimated number of about two hundred looters. The video was made by street artist WhIsBe who also described the scene to The New York Post with these words:

«They had just gotten there as well and were just starting to pry open the doors and rip the plywood off the window. […] There were definitely some cars that they would load up when they were doing it. Some of them put the clothes on and carried on looting other stores in their new outfits […] There was nothing left to take when they were done».

In addition, the brand, for the first time in its twenty-six years of history, has been forced to cancel the fifteenth drop of 2020, scheduled for today 4 June. The brand did not provide more specific information about it, but the decision is certainly connected with the current socio-political climate in the United States and the anti-racist protests triggered by the murder of Geroge Floyd.
