Everything you need to know about Sole DXB 2018

From the idea of a group of friends from Dubai crazy about sneakers, to one of the most coveted and visited events in the world.

Sole DXB, the three-day annual cultural festival based in the shiny pearl of the UAE, that last year saw over 22,000 people through its doors, has now become an authority when it comes to streetwear, fashion and art. The event, first born in 2010, over the course of the years has established itself on a global scale thanks to the quality of its talks, workshops, art installations, live performances and screenings.

This year the festival returns from December 6 to 8, with a series of top-level names.
Director Bobbito García will present his new movie, Rock Rubber 45s, which explores the connectivity of global basketball, sneaker, and music lifestyle through his lens as an authentic NYC culture orchestrator. But it's probably music-wise that the festival gives its best. The line-up it's pretty impressive: rap legend Nas, who will the protagonist of a talk as well, Blood Orange, Giggs, Slowthai, Sho Madjozi, Masego, Roxanne Shante and DaniLeigh.

An incredible number of brands will be present, from the giants of the industry to emerging labels. adidas Originals will be dropping Yung Series, Never Made, Yeezy and Dragonball Z, PUMA will launch Selena Gomez X PUMA Strong Girl Collection, PUMA CELL, RS-X, CALI, while Reebok Classic will unveil the latest designs by Pyper Moss. Among the names of high fashion, Farfetch, Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, Kappa and Levi's. Emerging brands will showcase at Sole SXB as well, like Leaf Apparel and Unknown Union from Southafrica, Almost Gods and Nor Black Nor White from India, and homegrown UAE talents including Precious Trust and Amongst Few.
