Interview with Pawel Sabaranski (Grail Point) Discover with us one of KICKIT's special guests

Pawel Sabaranski is a collector of Supreme garments and a streetwear enthusiast. Founder of Grail Point, Poland’s first buy / sell / trade streetwear store based in Warsaw, boasting the best selection of Supreme items in Eastern Europe.

Thanks to KICKIT Pawel will be in Italy, in Rome on April 8 ready to amaze us with his collection, and to demonstrate what it means to be a true hypebeast entrepreneur despite having only 22 years.

#1 When and what got you into sneakers?

I got into streetwear when I was 16, so 6 years ago from now. I’ve been always passionate about hip-hop culture and I’ve been looking up to rappers in terms of clothing and stuff. After discovering the whole streetwear community I started digging it.

#2 The first sneakers you have consciously purchased, how, where and why?

Have to be Jordans IV Fire Red. I’ve always more into clothing than sneakers but the Jordans were a must have for me back in the days.

#3 Why did you decide to undertake this work, what are the pros and what are the cons?

When I was younger reselling was the easiest way for me to get some funds which I could spend later on items for my personal collection. Sometimes it really justifies spending bigger amounts of money on my collection, and that’s definitively a big advantage.

#4 How was born Grail Point?

In the past years I was doing pretty well selling stuff around Europe and that’s what made me start to think about opening the store. At first Grail Point was supposed to be an online store only, but the rapid growth of streetwear scene in Poland encouraged me to take the risk and open first polish permanente store with the most hyped streetwear stuff. What I like the most about the Warsaw store is uniting the community and the whole atmosphere we have right here, you can always pop in for a nice chat about streetwear and stuff.

#5 How is the Poland sneakers market going at the moment? What do you think about it?

Polish streetwear and sneaker scene is doing really well. Like I mentioned it’s been growing really fast in the last couple years. We have many new faces in the game aiming for the most hyped items at the moment such as yeezys etc…, but OG sneaker heads ain’t going nowhere!

#6 What do you think of the Italian street and sneakers scene?

Italian scene is going really hard, no doubt! We had a lot of clients from Italy, but even before opening the store I’ve been selling a lot of nice OG Supreme on Italian grows and it’s always been a pleasure. Can’t wait to see all the Italian streetwear enthusiasts in Rome!

#7 And with which grail you will amaze us at KICKIT?

I’ll bring something interesting- Supreme coach jacket from ’95, first released by Supreme, one of 150 made!

#8 Your Top 3 sneakers of all time.
