MQBMBQ's new puzzles for the "Black Jigsaw Project"

Two different artists for two puzzle sets created with Gucci's support

MQBMBQ's new puzzles for the Black Jigsaw Project Two different artists for two puzzle sets created with Gucci's support

As the latest project of 2020, the MQBMBQ digital hub, with the sponsorship of Gucci, brought together american illustrator Ggggrimes and Ghanaian painter Kwesi Botchway for the Black Jigsaw Project. The artists have created two artworks for the occasion that have been transformed into two hundred puzzles in A3 format, half of which will be put up for sale directly on the MQBMBQ website, and whose proceeds will be entirely donated to the Italian Trans Identity Movement.

Ggggrimes and Botchway's artworks, titled Our Home and Self Love respectively, explore the Black Queer identity from the point of view of self-expression and fashion. Fashion plays an absolute leading role in both works, whose characters are dressed with the looks of Gucci's Epilogue collection, digitally presented last July. The project represents the mission of MQBMBQ, which wants to give voice and visibility to artists in the Black/Queer community, also committing itself to supporting humanitarian causes.

Black Jigsaw Project's puzzles are already available on MQBMBQ's official website.
