The new Inter logo for the Chinese New Year

A detail that did not go unnoticed on the limited edition jerseys

The new Inter logo for the Chinese New Year A detail that did not go unnoticed on the limited edition jerseys

On the occasion of Chinese New Year, Inter emphasises its sensitivity towards Asian culture with a version of the away jersey in which the players' names are translated into ideograms. The white jersey with the Nerazzurri band, which runs vertically across the chest and is interrupted at the height of the main sponsor, is thus enriched with a new detail. It is not the first time that Inter have used the players' names written in the Chinese alphabet for their jerseys and, in fact, there has always been an excellent relationship between the Nerazzurri and the Asian country, which is now strengthened by Zhang's presidency.

But perhaps the most interesting element of this special edition is the new crest on the players' numbers, in which the Biscione symbol of Milan is transformed into a dragon embracing the Inter logo. With a brushstroke typical of Chinese gestures, the association between Inter and the animal of the Chinese zodiac is immediately clear, giving the Nerazzurri's logo a new charm and making it particularly versatile. The jerseys will be worn by Simone Inzaghi's players in Saturday's match against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico and are already available in the club's official shop.
