The Neapolitan Kiton is Tottenham's new formalwear sponsor The Italian tailoring brand will make the suits for the London club

Neapolitan brand Kiton is to be Tottenham Hotspur's outfitter for next season, following a path that combines Neapolitan tailoring with English culture. Founder Ciro Paone has always held British tailoring in high regard, as it exemplifies understated, relaxed and luxurious elegance that perfectly suits Tottenham and North London style. The two-year partnership includes KNT (Kiton New Textures), the urbanwear line founded in Italy in 2018 by twins Mariano and Walter De Matteis, the third generation of the Kiton family, which focuses on constant fabric research, an innovative approach and a modern, sophisticated aesthetic in line with Kiton's history.

Kiton fabrics are interpreted with Tottenham Hotspur's blue hues and a touch of white for three outfits that will accompany the players at the club's official events. A single-breasted mélange suit, cut and sewn entirely by hand and decorated with a pattern reminiscent of the surfaces of the city's streets, is worn over a white cotton and linen crew-neck jumper and a cotton jersey polo shirt. The second look is a blue ensemble in Kiton's exclusive 14-micron wool, consisting of a jacket - button-down shirt and sweatpants with casual details, worn over a fine cotton T-shirt. The third outfit consists of a zip-up hooded jacket in compact nylon with a water-repellent, breathable and windproof membrane, a viscose zip-up sweatshirt, a short-sleeved crew-neck T-shirt and cotton jersey cargo trousers with darts. Tottenham's choice confirms the growing role of formal wear in the world of football and the success of the quiet luxury trend associated with Italian tailoring and materials around the world.
