Barcelona could play with three different logos The blaugrana enter in their custom era

Following the introduction of the new club's logo that will adorn the Blaugrana's new home jerseys, Barcelona could use a different crest on each jersey in the 2023/24 season. In addition to the crest, where a diamond has been added to the famous Catalan design in homage to Barca Femení winning the Champions League for a second time last May, it is expected that the away kit will use a vintage version of the Barcelona logo. In this case, a direct reference to the glorious era of the 1980s when Johan Cruyff sat on the Camp Nou bench, with the three teeth at the bottom of the symbol. And according to various rumours, Barca's third jersey will also bear an even different crest, which in this case cannot be seen because it is made of Nike Grind, the new material introduced by the US brand that we will soon see on every football jersey and which is made of post-industrial production waste.

Three similar but different logos, then, but representing three different souls of the Blaugrana: the strong support for women's football, the glorious heritage that has transformed football and, finally, the look to the future and sustainability. However, Barca is by no means the first team to use more than one club's logo on its jerseys in the same season. On the contrary, it is increasingly common to see the official logo alternated with others, perhaps pulled from the archives or modified for a specific occasion, not to mention all those that change depending on the colour of the jersey, creating the tone-on-tone effect that sports brand designers are so fond of today.

As seen last season, Barcelona's sponsorship deal with Spotify also saw them start to change the logo in the centre of the chest, inserting the logos of famous music artists such as Rosalia or Drake. In short, if the Blaugrana jersey has been untouchable for almost a century, without sponsors and details to distract the eye from the colours that have become the symbol not only of a club but of an entire region and people, Barcelona has now definitely entered its own custom era and will probably play every match next season with a different jersey.
