Expectations for Newcastle United were high at the start of last season after the new Saudi Arabian owners promised a return to the top level with the help of quality signings. The goal was achieved and the fourth place in the last Premier League means a return to the Champions League after 22 years. Preparing for next season, Newcastle United unveiled the new home kit, made by Castore, which will also be worn by the women's team.

Eddie Howe's players will play at St. James' Park in a kit that does not deviate from the traditional pattern of past jerseys, historically made with black and white stripes. Castore has been betting heavily on football in recent years, despite the fact that in recent months footballers and fans have complained about the quality of the products of the English brand born in 2016.

The jersey has a similar pattern to those worn in the past by Alan Shearer and last season by Bruno Guimarães, Alexander Isak and Miguel Almirón, with black and white vertical stripes, a V-collar and the NUFC crest embroidered on the chest. The new sponsor Sela, announced in recent weeks, appears in the centre of the jersey, while there are holes on the side to aid perspiration. Interesting in the detail of the lower edge of the jersey, which is curved at the front, to facilitate the movements of the players.
