Barcelona turns purple thanks to partnership with Pantone Equality in one colour

Barcelona, in line with its strong commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion, as stated in the club's Statute, and in light of International Women's Day on 8 March, wishes to launch several initiatives to highlight the importance of giving visibility to women in the world of sport. And with this in mind, today the Catalan club announced that it has joined forces with Pantone to create a new symbolic colour for equality that is born from the mixing of the club's colours, blue and red, and is called 'Lila Barça', becoming part of the company's universal colour guide. The colour will be the key element of the Club's initiatives on International Women's Day, both digitally and physically, to further strengthen the blaugrana message in favour of equality for millions of people.

'Lila Barça' will be present on Spotify, the Camp Nou and the Estadi Johan Cruyff throughout the month of March, starting this weekend for the men's team's match against Valencia, on Sunday at 16.15 CET, and for the women's match against Villarreal, at 12pm CET. The club's partners will also be part of the initiative to highlight women in football: Nike, Spotify, Bimbo, Cupra, Damm, Whitebit, Allianz, Konami, 1Xbet, Caixabank, Stanley, BMG, GLS and Scotiabank will integrate the new Pantone colour in their advertising on the sidelines during both matches.
