In recent years, the topic of sports sponsorship has been in the news, with UEFA not accepting that clubs change the name of their stadium in favour of a commercial agreement, forcing commentators to announce the original name. One of the sponsors that has made a name for itself in recent years, closing numerous deals around the world with many famous clubs is Allianz, which has put its name on several stadiums in three continents and seven different countries. Those of the insurance giant are not trivial stadiums, in Italy it is present in Turin with Juventus, but the Allianz Stadium family includes the Allianz Arena in Munich (Germany), the Allianz Stadium in Sydney (Australia), the Allianz Park in London (UK), the Allianz Riviera in Nice (France), the Allianz Parque in São Paulo (Brazil), the Allianz Stadion in Vienna (Austria), and the Allianz Field in Saint Paul (USA), in order of construction and naming rights time to which West Ham's stadium, the London Stadium, will soon be added, as the agreement with the Hammers is due to be formalised shortly. It would be the second Allianz-sponsored facility in London after Allianz Park, home of local rugby team Saracens.

One of the most iconic stadiums is undoubtedly that of Bayern Munich, which seen from the outside resembles a veritable cloud that can change colour at any time. The outer shell consists of 2,874 panels, each of which can be individually illuminated in different colours. The Allianz Arena lights up red for Bayern matches, blue for those of Munich 1860 (the city's other team), and white when hosting the national team.

Commonly known as Palestra Itàlia, the name of the old stadium that stood on the same site, Allianz Parque is the home ground of Palmeiras, a Brazilian team founded by Italian immigrants. A mighty structure that differs from the others due to its very special architecture and obviously very important being the first stadium in Latin America.
