Torino's new jersey is a dedication to Japanese culture

To mark the anniversary with Suzuki, Joma revisited the first granata jersey

Torino's new jersey is a dedication to Japanese culture To mark the anniversary with Suzuki, Joma revisited the first granata jersey

It's been a long week full of releases, from Serie A with AC Milan to Serie B with Bari, passing through the Bundesliga with BVB, to which Torino with Joma also joins for a special anniversary with Sukuzi. To celebrate these ten years together, a few days at the Rinascente Torino store, the 'Fujin10' jersey was presented, a Limited Edition, with which the granata will take the field next 6 March in the home match against Bologna. The jersey was designed by Kimihiko Nakada, Director of the Suzuki Design Centre in Turin, one of only four Suzuki Style Centres in the world and the only one in Europe, who was inspired by subjects and themes from traditional Japanese culture. Nakada was inspired by the famous Japanese artwork "Fujin Raijin Zu", which depicts the god of thunder, the "Raijin", the one who makes the sky roar with the strokes of a drum, and the god of lightning, the "Fujin" who instead controls the wind and clouds, carrying them in a bag.

After so many, as well as the other teams, Torino returns to have a special fourth jersey, which, however, it was decided not to make its debut in the derby against Juventus, contrary to what was expected. The jersey in general does not differ much from the home one, except for the design affixed, and remains the classic granata shirt with collar, for a classic style, characterised by lateral details in mesh, to guarantee better fit and maximum comfort. A release that although it was created for commercial purposes underlines the desire to experiment for a team that in recent seasons has always remained faithful to its image, experimenting little and releasing with Joma only standard models that have never strayed from traditional colours and designs.

The jersey is already available here.
