Liverpool unveils the home jersey for the 2024/2025 season The last one signed by Nike before switching to adidas

As routine dictates, when the major leagues are nearing their end, the excitement begins for the release of next season's kits. It's Liverpool and Nike who kick off the eagerly awaited moment of the year, unveiling the home kit. After two seasons where the Swoosh and the Reds opted for a rather minimal design for the home shirt, this time they choose a very particular design adorned with a pattern composed of geometric figures positioned throughout the jersey. Despite the pattern being a significant innovation, aimed at giving character to the shirt, the feature that stands out the most is the discreet white collar crossed by a red stripe outlined with yellow lines. This jersey is as distinctive as it is significant: it's the last one before a dramatic and romantic switch to adidas, a sponsor that has already left its mark on the Reds' seasons from 1985 to 1996 and from 2006 to 2012.

But the hidden details of the home kit don't end there. Upon closer inspection, the geometric figures positioned on the front area of the jersey and on the sleeves form the acronym Y.N.W.A. (You'll Never Walk Alone), the title of the club anthem and one of the most famous chants in the world. Liverpool, coming off a controversial season marked by Jürgen Klopp's departure, the shocking elimination in the Europa League against Atalanta, and the current third place behind Arsenal and Manchester City, will be able to find soul and spirit thanks to this kit starting from the 2024/2025 season, but also thanks to the arrival of the new coach Arne Slot. After 5 years, Liverpool brings back the color gold to their home kit (last seen in the final season with New Balance), and it does so for a very specific reason, to commemorate the shirt worn during the Champions League victory in 1984 at the Stadio Olimpico against Roma.
