A podcast with sports directors, the latest idea from La Liga Officially launched on 8 February and entitled 'Arquitectos'

If you have always wondered how a sports director works and what his tasks are specifically, the new podcast produced by La Liga will be for you. As of 8 February, 'Arquitectos', a podcast published by the Spanish league where current sporting directors talk about and explain their strategies and tactics, explaining and elaborating on their choices for the team, is online and available on platforms. The league's objective after broadcasting some matches exclusively on TikTok is to bring more and more of the public closer, even those less passionate about football, trying to get them into the internal dynamics that we are used to seeing only from the outside. The podcast is available every Wednesday at 2pm on Spotify, Ivoox and Apple Podcasts and the first guest was Roberto Olabe, the sporting director of Real Sociedad. And he could only be the first guest, given the incredible score that the team from San Sebastián is obtaining on the pitch, ranking above Atletico Madrid and only a few points behind the two firsts in the class: Barcelona and Real Madrid.

A podcast to take a further step for La Liga towards finding new spectators, to bring football to everyone, that in fact is the stated goal. A goal that the Spanish federation is trying to achieve in small steps, trying to modernise certain dynamics to make the league more and more attractive and to innovate the way football is enjoyed, revealing many behind-the-scenes details that obviously only insiders and employees know about. And if the first episode did not bore listeners, the second one, already scheduled and announced, will be no less. The protagonists in fact will be the famous Burgos, with the club's sporting director Miguel Pérez Cuesta, who will explain how a club that plays in the minor leagues is built. While waiting for the subtitles that will make the podcast available in different languages, we already have this year's best podcast.
