Marco Verratti is REPLAY's new brand ambassador Yet another confirmation of the football-fashion pairing

After having been PSG's Official Denim Partner since 2019, today Replay announced Marco Verratti, star midfielder of the Parisian team and the Italian national team, as testimonial of the Italian brand for the next three years. The partnership, which sees the footballer committed to the company until December 2025, was signed in light of the great harmony created over the years between the champion and the brand. 

Matteo Sinigaglia, CEO of Replay, commented: "I am very happy to be able to announce the link between our brand and this great champion, whom I respect not only for his sporting talent but also for his human approach. We already had a long-standing relationship of esteem and friendship with Marco, and it was only natural that it should turn into this type of collaboration. His talent, passion and determination make him one of our country's most important testimonials, a great Italian champion who has managed to win over a global fan base."

Never before has the football aesthetic become commonplace in fashion collections, both when it comes to stealing a few items to wear on the catwalk and when it comes to using the well-known faces of footballers to bring added value to their shoots. After the signatures of Son with Burberry, Benzema with Fendi and all the other less recent ones, it is now clear that fashion houses are mainly interested in players who have created a defined and recognisable profile beyond the sporting aspect, thus using that three-dimensionality to enter other markets and demographics.
