Two months after the World Cup in Qatar, today Nike unveiled the jerseys of its national teams created to celebrate the youth diversity and rich cultures of each federation. In addition to Brazil's, which had already been unveiled a few weeks earlier, those of England, France, Holland, Portugal, USA, Croatia, Poland, South Korea, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Nigeria have also been released.

"Our new team collections represent the latest example of how we accompany athletes with cutting-edge product innovations both on and off the field," says Scott Dixon, VP, Global Men's Football. "With 5 billion fans worldwide, no other sport unites people more than football. That's why we're committed to bringing our best to the world's biggest stage - and anywhere else - and building Nike's most joyful and brilliant football community ever."

There are many designs proposed by the American company but the ones that undoubtedly stand out are the Portugal, Nigeria, Croatia and Saudi Arabia jerseys, which stand out among the others for their bold designs, capable of blending the unique heritage of each nation through striking design details. Portugal's 2022 kits mark a new era on the horizon for futebol português. In the home kit, pepper red and Gorge green, with Gold Dart lettering, recall the Portuguese flag, while a diagonal line mimics the flag enveloping the body.

The green and white colours of the Saudi 2022 kit are inspired by the flag of Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Arabia Football Federation (SAFF) shield features a falcon, or saqr in Arabic, which serves as a multilingual reference to the word football. The away kit uses an all-over-print interpretation that builds on the concepts of the 2018 and 2020 away kits to evoke a sense of speed and boldness.

We won't see Nigeria at the World Cup but their kit deserves special mention. After the last kit sold out in minutes, Nike and the African national team return with another great design featuring both the home and away jerseys.

Croatia's 2022 home kit features a modern take on the world-recognised chequered motif symbolising Croatian pride. The clean lines of the home kit emphasise the Croatian core values of family, passion and tradition, while the wavy lines of the away kit refer to the ebb and flow of Croatia's Adriatic coast.
