After eFootball and FIFA, a new football game is on its way to break the monopoly created over the years by Konami and EA Sports. The game doesn't have an official name yet, but that's the goal of startup Goals, which quickly raised $15 million in funding to make a revolutionary video game that will unite the Non-fungible Token (NFT) and football worlds a reality. In a recent interview, Goals CEO Andreas Thorstensson hinted that an initial beta version will arrive this summer, while the full game won't arrive for two or three years. A bit like in FIFA's Ultimate Team mode where you sell and change the cards of the various players, in the video game produced by Goals you will collect NFTs that can then also be traded within the game.

A total revolution that could change forever the world of sports gaming, until now entangled in the jungle of licenses that have not allowed FIFA and others to follow in the wake of the success of games like Fortnite or COD. A revolution that, however, will have to be well thought out and structured not to end up like eFootball, which after the announcement of the change of business model by switching to free-to-play has not been able to maintain expectations, giving birth to a game with many defections within and that has encountered several problems so as to postpone the updates for months and months.
