Mizuno will be the technical sponsor of Lazio from next season The Japanese brand returns to Serie A after twenty years and replaces Macron on the biancocelesti's jerseys

After a long series of rumors, the official confirmation has finally arrived: Mizuno will be the new technical sponsor of S.S. Lazio. Twenty years after signing the jerseys of Fiorentina, the Japanese company returns to Serie A with Maurizio Sarri's Biancocelesti. As of today, Mizuno is still present in Italy, but only in the minor categories, sponsoring Cesena, Cittadella and Sudtirol, and the agreement with Lazio could be the first step in a grand re-launch. On the other hand, it must not have been easy to beat the fierce competition of Castore and Kappa, the main rivals, and now the challenge will be to hold its own against Macron, which has put its logo on the biancocelesti uniforms for the last eight years. The last five years of the agreement with the Bologna-based company have earned the Biancocelesti 20 million euros, while the economic details of the contract with Mizuno, which will begin in the 2022/23 season, have not been disclosed.

The S.S. Lazio press release explains how Mizuno will dress all S.S. Lazio teams, the First Team, the youth sector, Lazio Women and all Lazio Soccer School affiliates and how Mizuno will benefit from the team's valuable feedback for future apparel development, in line with the Japanese "Kaizen" spirit: the continuous drive for improvement.  After years on the fringes of soccer sponsorship, Mizuno is returning to invest in Europe, having recently also found a sponsorship deal with Paris Saint Germain defender Sergio Ramos
