At the end of July adidas launched the new X SPEEDFLOW, one of the lightest football boots ever produced by the German laboratories. Speed in football has become a central element and brands know it too, but not everything has gone exactly to plan. Players such as Everton's Niels Nkounkou and Santos' Marcus Braga have openly complained on their Instagrams about the uppers ripping open like nothing else during a game, forcing players to change them. Surely the intervention on Marcus Braga was not absolutely clean, as evidenced by the first photo, but then again you know, these things are part of the game. This is no small problem, considering that it's the upper that makes the difference in this ultra-light shoe that weighs just 181 grams

The model that is worn by the best players in Team adidas such as Lionel Messi - who will wear an "X" after 6 seasons - Mohamed Salah, Heung-Min Son, Karim Benzema but also female talents such as Lindsey Horan and Vivianne Miedema will definitely have to be revised in order to avoid further problems. The adidas X SPEEDFLOW is part of the Meteorite Pack, the three stripes along with the COPA Sense.1 and Predator Freak+. all launched in the same colourway in a blazing red.
