Nike presents the new Kevin Durant signature

Nike presents the new Kevin Durant signature The KD13 is reminiscent of an old Kobe silhouette

Kevin Durant is not exactly going through one of his best moments: as soon as the rehabilitation process with the ball started following the heavy Achilles tendon injury remedied during the 2019 finals, here is the coronavirus blow that will keep him completely still for the next few weeks despite being asymptomatic, along with three of his fellow Brooklyn Nets companions.

It is precisely through the videos of the first KD workouts in the gym that the first images of the new Nike KD13 leaked, a new silhouette seen for the first time in the "black and white" colorway.

The line is very reminiscent of that of the KD12, although it can be immediately recognized that the materials used are less translucent and much more targeted to the performace, with few Nike details and technologies more present: a black fabric upper with a grid pattern and overlapping materials in the central part of the support while a large lateral white Swoosh descends towards the white and gray spotted midsole. The branding is kept thinner on the medial side, with a small white Swoosh stitched backwards. From the cushioning point of view, the KD13 uses a double layer of Air Zoom technology under the sole of the foot and a full-length Zoom footbed, offering a feeling of support and reactivity that brings with it the Zoom Strobel technology of the KD12.

Overall, the shape is somewhat reminiscent of the 2017 Nike Kobe AD Mid, despite the fact that the KD manages to give a sense of further aerodynamics thanks to the thick midsole and the size of the Swoosh.

The release date was expected to be April 17, but given the latest postponements of the drops regarding Jordan Brand, it is likely that this signature will also slip. Not bad, given that neither Kevin Durant, nor the NBA championship, will be unlikely to restart their activity before that date.
