RB Leipzig to Become 10th Nike Elite Team

Almost six years after signing the deal with Nike, RB Leipzig has gradually become one of the leading clubs of the German scene and also in the European football: the team founded in 2009 by Red Bull company recently hit a second and third place in Bundesliga, this year is fighting for the title and has reached the Champions League round of 16 for the first time. He has an incredibly young squad and a thirty-year-old and talented manager (Julian Nagelsmann), so in the future they could grow further. This is why Nike has decided to include it among the Elite Teams, together with the most prestigious clubs linked to the American brand.

The Nike 'team' currently has nine top clubs (Barcelona, PSG, Inter Milan, Tottenham, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Galatasaray and the new entry, Liverpool) and a representative of German football will be added from next season. In Nike's plans, as we have recently learned from numerous rumors, there's the program to create the next Third Kits inspired by the iconic Air Max models: a very interesting project that we developed in this article and which therefore will also involve Leipzig.
