adidas wastes no time: after announcing the 2019/2020 Juventus, Bayern Munich, Olympique Lyon, Ajax and Leicester Home kits, the German brand has unveiled the new Manchester United jersey. Simple and minimal, entirely red with tiny black inserts, the new shirt is a tribute to the 20th anniversary of Treble: in 1999, in fact, the team coached by Sir Alex Ferguson was the first to win three titles in a single season, above all the Champions League with an incredible comeback. For this reason the dates of the three triumphs and even the minutes (91 and 93) of the goals scored by Sheringham and Solskjaer in the final against Bayern Monaco are imprinted on the shirt.

The new kit, which also consists of white shorts and black socks, will be worn for the first time on the occasion of the charity match that the Red Devils will play against the Bavarians, exactly 20 years from that date. adidas has also unveiled the goalkeeper's jersey, dark purple like the one worn by Schmeichel in the 1998/1999 season and for which was chosen the same tiger pattern that will be used for the other adidas goalies' kits next season.
