In his recent collaborations with adidas Football, Gosha Rubchinskiy dived in the iconic models of Three Stripes’ past without hesitation, reworking them in the perspective of contemporary Russian fashion. The designer’s gaze also moved on more recent models, just like the adidas Nemeziz 17+. And here’s how this new model was born: the adidas x Gosha Rubchinskiy Nemeziz Mid.

Starting from one of the most advanced football boots models, based on the taping technique, Gosha shaped a lifestyle footwear inspired by former Russia capital, Saint Petersburg. The stripes of the AgilityBandage and TorsionTape techs have been embellished with Russian prints, just like the white neck collar, that is the most plain modification to the shoe’s silhouette. The design of the adidas x Gosha Rubchinskiy Nemeziz Mid, just like the one of the entire SS18 collection, takes inspiration from Saint Petersburg's electronic music scene that developed after the fall of the Berlin Wall.
