Legends in London

A few days ago, we’ve talked for the first time about Star Sixes, the first competitive six-a-side tournament for former international football glories. It can seem a thoughtless thing, but as proved by the BIG 3 Tournament for the NBA basketball, there’s a lot of nostalgia in the sports world, and people crave to see its idols on the pitch again.

Last night, at the O2 Arena in London, there has been the first day of the tournament, that will go on tonight with the second games of the stages, and then on Saturday and Sunday, with the final, that is already sold out. It has been a night full of emotions, useful for the players to get confidence with the field and the teammates. The list of legends that played on the pitch would be endless, from Del Piero for Italy, to Puyol for Spain, and Ballack for Germany. And then Gerrard, Owen, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Taribo West, Robert Pires, and Deco.

Thanks to Club 1984 - which realized the shirt for the Star Sixes in collaboration with Umbro - we can enjoy a bunch of pictures of the event, realized with the style of the English collective. Much more will come in the next days when the tournament will touch its apex, and the players, after getting confident with the pitch, will give their best.
