Rangers forced to change sponsors for Europa League final Something to do with Spain and sponsorship laws

They were able to beat the most emblazoned teams and reach the final, but unfortunately their determination was not enough before the Germans of Eintracht Frankfurt, who were able to finalise all five penalties and take home the trophy. What doomed the Scottish side was Aaron Ramsey's penalty, who was hypnotised from the eleven metres by Germany's Trapp. But the most observant will not have missed the fact that Rangers played with a different sponsor from the one used throughout the season. On the blue shirts signed Castore appeared the name TeamTalk instead of the usual Unibet.

The reason is linked to the decisions taken by the government last 31 August that effectively prevent any sponsor involved in sports betting from being present in stadium banners or, as in this case, on a football jerseys. This decision was also taken in Italy not a short time ago and in fact paved the way for all the cryptos that have invaded the football universe since this season in particular. The Rangers, however, were not unprepared. To remedy this problem, the club decided to include TeamTalk, a particular sponsor since it is none other than a project of the Rangers Charity Foundation that aims to preserve the mental health of every individual.
