Last night it kicked off, the eighteenth edition of Club To Club festival in Turin. The 4-day festival brings the best of experimental pop and avant-garde music, standing unparalleled in doing so on Italian soil. nss will be there along on every step of the way and we wanted to give you our guide to help get the most of the festival and city of Turin. 

 

The Locations

Let us start with the basics, the venues. Club To Club can loosely be divided into day/evening/night events and concerts that are held in some of Turin’s most stunning locations. The historical house of Savoia has become UNESCO’s Human Heritage and one of the most evocative and majestic venues in Italy.

The main part of the festival is the night program, that turns proceedings into a massive warehouse concert rave, happening in the fair space of Torino Lingotto, this year edition sees the space dived into two stages, one main room and one Crack magazine curated secondary stage.

Block Party

For those that like to go just that little bit longer, Sunday also offers an official after party and much more. Club To Club presents its Block Party Club Palazzo in a new location – the 150 year old historical market of Balon, taking over the whole neighborhood of Porta Palazzo with live music, meetings, exhibitions, gastronomic tours with traditional & digital artisans. From 10 am to 9 pm there will be music, dance, street art, guided tours and panoramic rides with the Turin-eye, gastronomic and guided tours exploring the works of art of this urban neighborhood. Club To Club’s long-term partner Red Bull Music will presents “DIGGIN’ IN THE CARTS”

The Absolut Symposiums

Another big part of Club To Club are the Absolut Symposiums held at the AC hotel. A bustling creative hub with panels, workshops, interviews, live radio and musical rooms, curated by Max Dax and Carlo Pastore. Presenting special environments that bring together festival goers, industry folk and artists, akin to the festival backstage with added performances and lively activities. In between events, Club To Club is the perfect occasion to discover Turin from all sides. From its royal side, the heritage of Savoia royal dynasty, to the industrial one, with its impressive buildings, to the contemporary and creative side.

Club To Club takes place during the Contemporary Art Week, which allows you to experience Turin at its liveliest. It is the most important event organized by Contemporary Art, and a pole of contemporary art for Piedmond and Turin. Artissima is the most important and enduring art exposition in Italy and it turned into one of the key events for every art-lover in Europe. The parallel event Paratissima is the focal point for artistic innovation, where emerging artists can expose their works. If you own a Club To Club ticket or a professional badge you have right to a discount of 2€ on the Contemporary Card, which allows you to visit freely all contemporary art museums. You can buy it at the Tourism Office in Piazza Castello and Piazza Carlo Felice.
