Aphex Twin shares new mind-melting video and track

Announces new 'Collapse' ep on Warp Records

Aphex Twin shares new mind-melting video and track Announces new 'Collapse' ep on Warp Records

After the mysterious sightings of Aphex Twin logos in London and Turin last week, and later New York and LA, which instigated rumors of a possible new release, Warp records have now confirmed that a new ep is coming. They have also just released a brand new Aphex track and video created by his live visual collaborator Weirdcore. The track entitled T69 collapse is the first proper new music released since his 2014 Album Syro, which at the time had seen Aphex all but vanish from an IDM scene he had championed, for over 10 years. The track sees a return to his signature sound of fast, intricate, drum edits with dreamy synth melodies, and the accompanying video seems based on a video game engine with its incredibly well-synced cuts, that sees various Aphex visuals of logos and faces pulsate through computer-generated landscapes.

Check out the new video below:

The new Collapse EP will be released September 14 on Warp Records.
