This summer, every Thursday, there is dancing in the Torre Rooftop
On the Tower Rooftop, a terrace suspended between art, cuisine and music

Suspended above the rooftops of Milan, the Torre of Fondazione Prada remains one of the city’s most fascinating locations. It’s not just a restaurant or cocktail bar: it’s a creative platform that merges sensory experiences, from contemporary art and innovative gastronomy to urban sounds. The perfect occasion to discover it is the start of the Jam season, events held every Thursday to enliven the rooftop with curated musical performances and a drink list designed to be an integral part of the experience. Organized by Giorgio di Salvo, a Milanese designer and DJ, the Jams come to life on the seventh floor of the Torre, within the unique setting of a bar designed by Rem Koolhaas and the OMA studio team. The idea is that of a fluid and immersive experience: a live DJ set accompanies guests as they sip signature cocktails and watch the city transform on the horizon. The Jams don’t follow a fixed schedule but instead move to a seasonal rhythm, marked by the summer months and longer days, designed to fully embrace the light and atmosphere.
The culinary direction is led by chef Lorenzo Lunghi, originally from Tuscany and trained in Michelin-starred restaurants across Italy and France. His approach stands out for its focus on seasonality, the enhancement of each individual ingredient, and a circular philosophy: nothing is wasted, everything is transformed. Trimmings and leftovers become new flavor elements in a process that favors sustainability without compromising elegance. The menu is constantly evolving but retains a few signature dishes that showcase the link between technique and raw material. The compositions are clean, visually minimal, yet rich in intensity. Raw fish, complex sauces, and precise cooking techniques are at the core of a cuisine that engages in dialogue with the artistic context surrounding it. In fact, every meal is served in a space that is also a living gallery, where works by major contemporary artists interact with furniture designed by the OMA studio. Architecture becomes part of the experience: nothing is left to chance; everything is designed to guide the gaze and stimulate the mind.

The bar on the top floor is no exception. Signature cocktails, creative twists on the classics, unexpected ingredients, and obsessive attention to detail make up a menu that feels like a journey in itself. And when the sun sets, the triangular terrace lights up with sound and energy: it’s here that the Jams turn the evening into a collective urban experience, among electronic rhythms, refined drinks, and a skyline straight out of a dream. In an era where Milan is increasingly dynamic, the Torre becomes a privileged observatory from which to experience the city vertically, through contamination and vision. It’s not just a place to dine or drink well: it’s a cultural lab where every detail tells a story about the future.
