5 things to do in Paris this weekend From May 9th to 11th

In the blink of an eye, the week is coming to an end, and the weekend is just around the corner. At the same time, spring has made its grand return to put an end to our winter woes. It’s time to enjoy the mild temperatures and long days by stepping out of your cocoon. More than ever, the streets are buzzing with activities to suit all tastes. Discover now what the city has in store for you this weekend.

Where to eat: With Chew Bagels at Mardi Café

This Saturday, Pierre Roux takes over Mardi Café for a pop-up. For a few months now, this chef trained in prestigious kitchens has been making waves with Chew Bagels, his nomadic project where he restores the glory of this New York classic. No soft or brioche bagels here, but golden, dense, slightly tangy rings, made with homemade sourdough and poached in a sweet Montreal-style bath. They are then smoked, generously filled — cream cheese, pickled onions, trout roe or homemade jam, depending on the mood — and always served warm. With no permanent shop yet, every appearance is a treat. And given the buzz, be sure to arrive early.

To discover: The DAWA exhibition by Dawa agency

DAWA is the free expression of a generation creating without asking for permission. Conceived by @dawa_agency, the exhibition is part of Hors-cadre, a cultural lab imagined ahead of the opening of @maisonmondesafricains. Between photography, painting, and projection, the works of @louispereiraa, @gxemxn, and @williamsaah interact in a space under construction, fueled by a DJ set from @nice.piy. Opening night on Friday, May 9 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The exhibition continues Saturday, May 10, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free entry, reservation required.

Six days to discover the best of the emerging creative scene. From May 6 to 11, the 1922 Creativ Fair takes over Le Comptoir Général with a packed schedule blending art, fashion, design, and music. Where to shop: At Souvenir Machine

Souvenir Machine is the must-stop for anyone seeking a piece with a story. Located on rue de Turbigo, the shop mixes cult band t-shirts, worn military jackets, and oversized bombers without ever feeling predictable. You'll find the fringes of America — grunge concerts, diners, and VHS films — carefully curated by Thomas D'Ambrogi, a lifelong vintage enthusiast. The vibe is laid-back, the racks speak for themselves, and it’s not uncommon to spot a piece that ends up on a magazine cover or the big screen. You come to browse and stay for the thrill of finding what you weren’t even looking for.

7 R. de Turbigo, 75001 Paris

Where to party: With La Créole at La Station

La Créole returns to La Station on May 10, from midnight to 6 a.m.. Backed by a now-iconic collective, the event celebrates, as always, plural identities and Caribbean heritages in a bubbling, free-spirited party atmosphere. After a memorable birthday night at La Machine for its 7th anniversary, the crew keeps the momentum going: Bé, Bamao Yendé, Crustasex, and a B2B set by João Lágrima de Ouro and Missy Da Kunt will take over the decks all night long. A major spring highlight in the making.
