VODOO PEOPLE's new residence at District 272

From May 14th to 18th, District 272 in Milan will host “Voodoo People”, the residency curated by MACE in collaboration with C2C Festival. After debuting during the 2024 edition of the Turin-based festival, MACE returns to explore the liminal spaces of club music, presenting a project that fuses acid techno, psychedelia, and polyrhythms within an immersive audiovisual dimension. Each night of the residency will feature an audiovisual set by MACE, accompanied by Italian special guests in exclusive back-to-back performances. The line-up, deliberately focused on Italian talent spanning different genres and influences, will alternate between emerging artists and more established names in the national club scene. On Wednesday 14th, LUWEI b2b BIANCA INTENSA will kick off the residency with an energetic and genre-bending set. Thursday 15th will see LAMUSA II and XIII, a duo capable of blending experimental atmospheres with a darker, hypnotic sound. On Friday 16th, EVISSIMAX and MISS JAY promise a dynamic set leaning into the most avant-garde sounds of the contemporary electronic scene. Saturday 17th will feature one of the most acclaimed names in the current landscape, VENERUS, joined by BLINKY, for a musical encounter full of eclectic and unexpected moments.

The residency will close on Sunday 18th with GO DUGONG and LUCE CLANDESTINA, a duo set to explore sonic territories at the edge of experimental clubbing, merging contemporary electronic music with global influences. The choice of District 272 is no coincidence. The venue is one of the symbolic locations in the history of the C2C Festival, having already hosted iconic performances by international artists such as Arca in 2015, Oneohtrix Point Never and Yves Tumor in 2016, and more recently Lorenzo Senni, Caterina Barbieri, and Jim C. Nedd in 2021. MACE - Voodoo People is not only an opportunity to rediscover the Italian electronic scene but also a chance to delve into the hybridization of different artistic and musical languages. A project that once again confirms the central role of the C2C Festival in promoting new forms of audiovisual expression and club culture.
