Celebrating Neapolitanism through street art

Voiello pays homage to Naples with the MIEZ'A VIA project Celebrating Neapolitanism through street art

Naples is an international cradle of gastronomic culture, but also of street art. The murals that paint the alleys and buildings of the city are numerous, tangible evidence of how Campanian and international artists continue to be drawn to the open-air canvases in the capital. Naples' street art is modern, but it has always preserved a strong historical sense, narrating the faces that have shaped the city's imagination, from Maradona to San Gennaro, from Pino Daniele to the folkloric tales of the region. The monumental realism of Jorit and the fantastical characters of Zed and Cyop&Kaf from the Quore Spinato project, have given a new face to the city, raising the value of every neighborhood touched by their colors and elevating the name of Naples in the universe of urban art. The city preserves some of the world's greatest street art masterpieces, including Madonna con Pistola by Banksy, one of the prominent artists in the history of the movement. In this context, the Campanian brand Voiello will inaugurate a special project as an integral part of the MIEZ’A VIA initiative, a breathtaking surprise for all Neapolitans to be exclusively revealed on December 2nd.

In the last two years, Voiello has actively engaged in celebrating Neapolitan culture beyond the region with the MIEZ’A VIA project. Paying homage to the Neapolitan tradition, the brand collaborated with the artist Liberato as the main sponsor of Procida 2022, staging the concert Miez'O Mare on the waters of the island. This year, the brand has actively involved the Campania region again with initiatives that resonate throughout Italy. Last summer, it transmitted Neapolitan vibes outside Naples, celebrating MIEZ'A VIA in Milan. With an immersive initiative on the Navigli, Voiello inaugurated a grand celebration on the streets of Milan, offering the public a gastronomic tasting experience alongside Michelin-starred Chef Lino Scarallo.

This autumn, the project returns to Naples for a special stop; Voiello will gift a unique experience to Neapolitans in the Arenella neighborhood, continuing the historical tradition of Neapolitan graffiti. Street art, an artistic movement of great importance to Neapolitans, will become a tool to celebrate the culture of the city in grand style. In collaboration with the artist Leticia Mandragora and Neapolitan fashion designers Vienmnsuonno1926, protagonists of Voiello's recent initiative in Milan, the brand will activate a series of initiatives to unite urban art and gastronomy in complete harmony. What surprise does Voiello have in store? We look forward to seeing you on December 2nd in Piazza Francesco Muzii. Register here for a special gift.
