Balenciaga released today the lookbook for its Cruise 2017 collection, shot in a luminous Parisian apartment styled as a backstage.
The common thread of the collection is the stripe pattern: unconventional models wear maxi shirt-dresses with an asymmetrical cut, and two-piece composed of top plus trousers or skirt. In addition to this, we find oversize leather jackets, a tailored suit composed of a double-breasted jacket and shorts, and a wide dress decorated with frills, Gvasalia’s trademark.
Among the accessories, we find again the maxi shopper bags – now also available in a 'mini' version – next to multi-strap sandals and pointed pumps. A modern and revolutionary minimalism.
