Vetements staged a garage sale in Seoul

As usual, French super hot brand Vetements is on the edge of newness.

In collaboration with MatchesFashion.com, it has just staged an uber cool and underground garage sale in Seoul, more precisely on a really close, northwestern town called Deokso. When is the last time a high fashion brand has done something quite as rad?

The choice of South Korea’s capital couldn't sound more on point. First of all, Seoul is just the right city for a brand that's so irreverent and innovative as Gvasalia's brainchild. Second, Seoul Fashion Week – amongst the most interesting off-the-radar phenomenons in fashion – is set to start tomorrow, Tuesday 18.

The sale featured the "Official Fake" capsule collection, comprising limited edition remixes of signature items from SS16 through FW16, exclusively made for the Korean Market in collaboration with MatchesFashion.com. The name of the collection clearly winks at all the times Vetements has brought to the catwalk high-end parodies of other brands.

The sale’s peak has been, though, the fact Vetements has decided to launch here the sneakers they made in collaboration with Reebok for SS17!
