Enter PandoraxPat McGrath, a collection created in collaboration with the legendary make-up artist, bringing her transformative vision of colour and her bold approach to creativity into the world of jewellery.

Spanning red, purple and golden reflections, 17 charms and rings reinterpret some of the most iconic elements of Pat McGrath's universe, from glossy lips to lipsticks, through to messages of empowerment. Jewels designed to be mixed, layered and combined without rules, much like the different facets that make up the style and personality of the wearer.

Celebrating the collection's launch, Italian singer-songwriter Joan Thiele also attended Vogue World: Milan, alongside fellow Pandora stars Pamela Anderson, Ciara, Maisie Williams and Anok Yai. On this occasion, we sat down with Joan to talk about style, creativity and freedom of expression, and to find out how she uses jewellery to interpret the different facets of her identity.

Pat McGrath is at the heart of this new Pandora collaboration. Do you remember when you first got into the world of beauty? Has it always been a passion of yours?

I really love beauty. I've always associated it with the world of theatre and costume: my best friend is an opera singer, and as girls we used to have fun doing each other's make-up and imagining ourselves on stage. My real crush was David Bowie — even through make-up, he always managed to create entirely new imaginative worlds.

The collection draws direct inspiration from make-up icons. What's your favourite make-up look right now?

My biggest make-up inspiration is Mina: lashes and eyeliner, with an emphasis on the eyes!

Which piece from the Pandora collection reflects your style, and why?

I really loved the chains with lips and rings! We decided to use them to create a hair look — I love incorporating jewellery into my hair.

Which song would you associate with this collection?

KISS, by Prince.

Pandora x Pat McGrath will be available globally from 8 October, in Pandora stores and at pandora.net. The collection will be available for an exclusive preview at the Pandora Flagship Store in Milan, located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, on the corner of Piazza San Babila, from 22 September.
