Circolo UltraFiorucci opens “In Our Real Life” in Milan An exhibition by Artist Jason Hendrik Hansma
From October 15 to November 2, 2025, Circolo UltraFiorucci opens its doors to In Our Real Life, an immersive and poetic exhibition by artist Jason Hendrik Hansma, curated by the Paris-based collective The Community. The exhibition transforms the spaces of Via Lomazzo 19 into a suspended threshold between art, memory, and environmental sensitivity, using a visual language that blends fragility and intensity. Through a series of multimedia works - including a video installation on an LED wall with footage of forest fires, six new canvases made with traditional Milanese gilders, black carpets scattered with silver residue, and a deep scent of firewood - Hansma invites visitors to slow down, breathe, and reflect. Everything is bathed in crimson light, enhancing the sensory and meditative dimension of the experience.
Beyond fashion: a space for reflection
«Jason brings poetry to urgent themes such as climate and memory,» says Francesca Murri, creative director at Fiorucci. «It’s an invitation to think about how we live together.» Alessandro Pisani, CEO of Fiorucci, also emphasizes how the exhibition reaffirms the brand’s role as a cultural driver: “Fiorucci has always been more than a fashion brand. This project reinforces our commitment to supporting new voices and meaningful ideas.” Hansma’s work is known for exploring transitional spaces, both physical and symbolic, from corridors to emotional thresholds. His pieces challenge aesthetic and architectural conventions, pushing toward a new collective sensitivity. With “In Our Real Life,” Circolo UltraFiorucci continues to redefine the boundary between fashion and art, inviting Milan to imagine new ways of being together.
