Rick Owens and Dr. Martens unveil new collaboration

Dr. Martens and Rick Owens join forces once again to explore new horizons in subversive fashion with their latest collaboration. Rick Owens pioneers the new progressive category of Dr. Martens, the 14XX, and the latest collection features an outsole from the Beta Pack launched in December 2023. The creative relationship between Dr. Martens and Rick Owens has been solidified since their first collaboration in 2021. A series of highly sought-after collections explore the sculptural potential of Dr. Martens' silhouettes, combining it with Rick Owens' distinctive lacing and his preference for architecturally structured boots. "I like to use our collaboration to celebrate another wild and fierce self, an invented abandon like that of Sissy Misfit, exploding techno with a transcendental power. Dr. Martens has always represented for me an inspiring subculture, and I love honoring this tradition," Owens said about the collaboration.

The new Dr. Martens x Rick Owens capsule comes to life primarily with the Megalace 1460 DMXL boot. The inflated contours of the sole reflect in exaggerated height on the upper part of the boot, extending the length of the tongue. Crafted in remarkably supple Lunar leather to contrast with the boot's structure, it is secured with a Megalace bead pattern anchored by brushed silver ornaments. The beads extend to the heel loop, signed with the Dr. Martens script. The sole is attached with the distinctive yellow welt stitching. The collaboration comes to life through Sissy Misfit, a prominent figure in London's music production, performance, and DJ scene. Known for her unique blend of electronic, industrial, hardcore, and pop music, her conceptual and innovative performance style seamlessly aligns with the next creative phase of Dr. Martens x Rick Owens.

The Dr. Martens x Rick Owens collaboration will be available starting from February 8th online and at selected retailers.
