Simone Bellotti is Bally's new Design Director The Gucci veteran will lead the brand from now on

Hot on the heels of Rhuigi Villaseñor's farewell, Bally has announced that it has entrusted the direction of its design studio to Simone Bellotti, an industry veteran who spent 16 years at Gucci after cutting his teeth as a senior designer at Dolce & Gabbana, Bottega Veneta, and Gianfranco Ferré. Bellotti, who joined the brand last October, will bring to the table a deep knowledge of ready-to-wear tailoring and accessories craftsmanship - two of the pillars of production for the historic Swiss brand, which, after operating for decades as a cult producer of hyper-luxurious leather goods and high-end clothing, has embarked on a vast expansion process that has led it, among other things, to become a fixture on the Milan Fashion Week calendar where, in September, Bellotti will present his first collection.

On the occasion of the announcement Nicolas Girotto, CEO of Bally, said: «Having already worked closely with the team during the past nine months, Simone will continue to interpret and renew our distinctive codes in the current context. Simone's passion and appreciation for Bally's legacy, combined with his extensive experience in the industry, will enable us to pursue our vision of creating timeless and elegant products that respect our tradition of craftsmanship». Bellotti's appointment is thus part of the new strategic direction of the brand conceived by Girotto, who intends to bring the appreciation of quiet Swiss luxyury to new and wider audiences around the world.
