Harris Reed is the new creative director of Nina Ricci Is this the beginning of a new era for the brand?

Harris Reed announced on his Instagram account that he will be at the helm of Maison Nina Ricci. «I am honored and at the same time humbled to announce my appointment as the new creative director of Maison Nina Ricci for fashion and, to follow, fragrances» he wrote in the post. The brand is owned by Puig and was headed by Rushemy Botter and Lisi Herrebrugh, and recently saw the appointment of Edwin Bodson (former commercial director of JW Anderson) as general manager.

The London-based designer, known for his gender-fluid creations and for being a renowned LGBTQ+ advocate, is just the latest in a list of designers who will contribute to the rebranding of the brand and is expected to present his first collection early next year.  «I want to say a deep thank you to Puig and José Manuel Albesa for this opportunity to take the brand to incredible new heights», he concludes in the post. Reed's appointment continues an exciting period for the brand, and Harris Reed could be a viable alternative to the paths taken in the past.
