Givenchy announced a collaboration with Disney A remake of the collaboration signed by Riccardo Tisci in 2013?

Givenchy and Disney today broke the news of their upcoming collaboration beginning tomorrow under the name The Wonder Gallery in the form of an initial capsule that will feature characters from Disney films populating the brand's items. Judging from the first teaser released on WWD and, we imagine soon, on the brand's social media, the first capsule will focus on Bambi while subsequent capsules (a second capsule is planned for mid-summer and will be part of an ongoing series) will include characters from 101 Dalmatians, Frozen, and the character Walt Disney created before Mickey Mouse, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Interestingly, Bambi itself was already featured in a collaboration with Givenchy in the FW13 collection, when Riccardo Tisci created a split-image graphic featuring the fawn and a painting of a naked woman. Recently just items with that print have begun selling on Grailed at prices above $500. Beyond the Tisci reference, Matthew Williams has not only demonstrated his love for Disney by frequently posting photos of himself with his daughters visiting Disneyland Paris, but he has also created the unofficial tradition of including drawn characters in his Givenchy collections, collaborating with artists such as Chito and Josh Smith.

Givenchy's new capsule collection The Wonder Gallery will be available starting tomorrow on the brand's official website.
