The first truly hands-free Nike sneaker Innovative design accessible for everyone

Nike has presented today the first model of a completely hands-free sneaker, a shoe that does not require the use of hands to be fastened and unlaced. Its name is Nike GO FlyEase and represents Nike's desire to create a sneaker design that is authentically technological while still making it accessible to everyone – a philosophy enclosed in the motto of the FlyEase line: "Better is Temporary". Testimonial of the FlyEase line is the athlete Bebe Vio who said:

Shoes are a new technology not only for adaptive athletes but for everyone's real life.

Thanks to a bistable hinge, the sneaker always remains stable both in its "open" and in the "closed" position. The bistable hinge is the fulcrum of the entire design and was conceived with a contest within the brand's design team, thanks to this mechanism the sneaker is able to open, getting up on the heel and allowing the foot to enter. With a downward heel thrust, the shoe closes and a patented tensioner that performs the function of stabilizing element and midsole.

The Nike GO FlyEase will be made available to the public later this year, while some members of the brand's community will be able to purchase it starting February 15.
