Even with the presence of the elected President Donald Trump, the American sport is repeatedly marking its support to all the fights against discrimination. All the initiatives have to be equally supported, both coming from marketing colossi like Nike or LeBron James, and if realized by amateur clubs from the American fourth tier football league. Oh yes, because of the San Francisco City FC, a club from the Premier Development League owned by... it supporters, unveiled its new “San Francisco Pride” kit.
These special kits will be worn during next Sunday, June 25, game, and then auctioned on the club’s website. All the incomes will be donated to the San Francisco’s AIDS Legal Referral Panel, an association that provides free or low-cost legal assistance for the HIV ill people in the Bay Area. The auction will begin on Sunday 25, shortly after the end of the game, and it will end on Saturday, July 1 at midnight.
On Saturday 24, the day before the game, there will be a party to present the new kit, and the players and the staff of the team will attend. The San Francisco Pride kit is available in limited numbers on S.F.C.F.C. website, and the incomes will also be donated to the HIV association.
