Altavia by Deborah Compagnoni wants to make the mountains more accessible

There is no one or right way to experience the mountains, but the one we choose says more about us, our motivations and our intimacy than the serene eternity of the peaks. Certainly, it can be an imposing and intimidating spectacle that can discourage those who don't have the right tools. Instead, one must approach the mountain gradually but boldly, choosing the comfort level necessary to feel at ease. However, it is not always easy to find a balance between the quality of materials, accessibility and cost of mountain equipment, which can become a major barrier to entry for many. The new Altavia line by OVS is designed by Deborah Compagnoni to finally make the mountains accessible to all.

The most successful Italian ski racer of all time, three-time Olympic champion in three different editions, was an important ally during the design and creation phase of the collection dedicated to the snow. Thanks to her advice and experience, OVS was able to design a simple but straightforward line that combines technology and style to stay in tune with the mountains. We were able to test the collection on a cold but sunny day at the Sunny Valley Mountain Lodge at 2700 metres above sea level. On the snow between S. Caterina Valfurva and the summit of Monte Sobretta, we skied together with the champion herself on the slopes where Deborah Compagnoni's unrepeatable career began. A unique experience, enriched by Altavia's technical equipment and marking a new step in the OVS offer, which also takes a decisive step towards athleisure.
