Galatasaray switches to PUMA The Turkish team leaves Nike and chooses the German brand for the next five seasons

One of the most iconic jerseys in the world will have a new signature from next year. It has been announced that Galatasaray will leave Nike at the end of the season and sign a new five-season contract with PUMA from 1 July 2024. This ends a long collaboration between the Turkish club and Nike, which has kitted out the yellow-and-red Istambul side for 13 seasons, while for PUMA it marks a return after a very quick change in the 1980s. The deal is particularly substantial for Gala, who will earn around € 25 million over five seasons, to which further bonuses can be added if certain sales thresholds are reached. We know how warm Turkish fans can be and also support the club through merchandising purchases, especially after such a major renovation.

In addition, Galatasaray's decision to switch to PUMA was motivated by greater availability and flexibility from the technical sponsor. No more requests 12 months in advance or difficulties in sourcing merchandise and a new look that could renew the aesthetics of one of the most iconic clubs on the continent. In fact, Galatasaray is playing a top season, thanks in part to many old acquaintances from our league, from Mertens to Icardi, and is also reaping new laurels on the international stage. The perfect club for PUMA to consolidate its position outside the big five.
