The new Marshall Islands football jersey

In order of time, the Marshall Islands Soccer Federation is the youngest in the world, having only been founded in December 2020. In recent years, the federation first unveiled its logo, then asked fans to design the new jersey, which has now been unveiled and will make its debut in January 2024 at the team's debut match. It is a historic kit for a historic goal, given the size of the small archipelago in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Contrary to rumours at the release of the fan contest, the jersey was not produced by Under Armour, but by Player Layer, a brand that created a design reflecting the spirit and colours of the nation. Argentine designer Micael Altamarino created a blue and light blue kit with orange horizontal decorations. On the chest is the federation's crest, while on the back is a special font for the jersey numbers. The jersey symbolises the new direction of football in the country and the Marshall Islands' growth programmes.

In addition to the focus on environmental impact - the jersey is made from a combination of organic cotton, recycled plastic and bamboo charcoal - the proceeds from the sale of the kits will be invested in training facilities for the islands' youngest inhabitants. The first game is only a short time away, just long enough to get hooked on the new Marshall Islands story.
