Al-Ittihād, Benzema's team, also presented their jerseys

Since winning the Saudi Professional League title last year, things have changed considerably for Ittihād Football Club, as well as for Saudi football as a whole, which has seen several players arrive from the major European leagues. To Jeddah came in order in Ballon d'Or Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté and Portuguese ex-Celtic Glasgow Jota Felipe, who join a group that finished five points above Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr in 2022/23. To defend the title the team now also has three new uniforms, produced by Nike and presented these days using the club's three new stars as testimonials. 

The Home shirt features the two main colors of Al-Ittihād, with the black base broken up by two bright vertical yellow stripes in which the Nike swoosh and the Saudi club crest stand out. The same colors for the Away shirt, in which the yellow is reduced to light shades that always develop vertically. In the Third kit, the style changes completely, and white predominates. In all three kits for next season, the Jeddah team will have as its new jersey sponsor Roshin, the Saudi company that operates in the real estate investment sector. 

Having shown every intention to reach the technical level of the European leagues, the Saudi Professional League teams are also starting to narrow the gap on everything that is collateral to the pitch. The shirts, besides being an important marketing lever, have always helped to increase the culture of the fans with respect to the history of the club, becoming a symbol of unity. The way the launch of the new Nike jerseys was handled says a lot about how Al-Ittihād is working to build a project that goes beyond football but also looks at everything the top clubs do outside the sporting sphere, to make Saudi football a cultural phenomenon and not just an economic bubble.
